60 per cent of the iraqis were less than 18 years old when
the gulf war began in 2003.
what kind of traces does such a war leave with such a young
population?
how do the young iraqis see their situation personally and
politically, are they still in a position to do the things
young people want to do?
can they imagine any future in iraq at the moment at all?
being young usually means comming of age and is connected
to lots of energy, expectations, dreams and hopes,
but also involves fears and anxiety about whether these hopes
can be realized, whether the dreams are too big, whether parents
or other important people, teachers etc. support one's dreams.
what does it mean to have to grow up in iraq today? do young
people still have the same dreams, the energy and ideas typical
of being young?
are there things that could be sustained despite the difficult
living conditions.
all these issues are to be investigated, experienced and made
available to the rest of the world.... |
